We are excited to announce the HEALing Communities Study (HCS) Learning Collaborative, Addiction and the Media: Stigmatizing language and best practices featuring our speaker, Carol Krause, Senior Advisor to NIDA/NIH schedule for January 19, 2022 at 12:00 PM. Following the presentation, there will be a roundtable discussion with Taylor Six, Journalist with Richmond Register and Abby Broughton, Prevention Specialist with HEAL Community discussing the process of reporting on a story of addiction and recovery. We will also have a roundtable discussion with our panelists of media experts, Alex Acquisto, Journalist from Lexington Herald-Leader, Jennifer Reynolds, ORAU Health Communications, Johnnie Curry, Marketing Promotion Specialist with HEAL Community who will be discussing best practices with media and addiction reporting.
